Story from Birmingham Live:

Anyone with a Freeview TV box has been told they may have to RESET their device on Wednesday. There are a number of Freeview TV channel changes today, MediaBoyUK has warned via X, formerly Twitter, on July 16.

As part of the shake-up today, GREAT! tv will move from Freview UK Channel 50 to Channel 34, swapping with GREAT! movies which is switching from Channel 34 to 50.

ITV Be +1 will be removed from Channel 93, while 4 seven will also be removed from COM5, it has also been announced.

MediaBoyUK has also reported that "Must Have Ideas" is set to launch this Friday at 6am on Freeview UK Channel 96.

To get the updates, reset you box by pressing menu on your box or TV remote, experts have said. Then, select "set-up" - if prompted for a password, the default code is either "1234" or "0000" and then select "first-time installation".

Then press ‘OK’ if your equipment asks if it's OK to delete existing channels and then your retune should start automatically.

GREAT! TV says on its website that it "captures the love and excitement of great classic drama and entertainment with a familiar mix of scripted series, nostalgia and popular gameshows."

The channel tells viewers: "We’re on a mission to celebrate and provide carefully selected and much-loved era-defining content, transporting you back to that golden era of British and American television.

"This is a carefully curated channel run by a team of TV experts who have dug out retro classics, much-loved cult favourites, and non-stop nostalgic box sets for your endless enjoyment."

GREAT! movies, meanwhile, "is the first choice for free-to-air blockbusters, contemporary hits, cult classics and feature-film favourites," bosses say.

"Covering the full range of genres - from rom-com to hard-hitting action, summer blockbusters to critically-acclaimed indie darlings - the channel brings you an ever-changing mix of modern cinematic classics, providing all-encompassing entertainment for all ages," it adds.
